Created from his sell-out drawing of the same name, these stainless steel sculptures by Billy Connolly originate from the artist's inaugural Born On A Rainy Day collection that has since spawned into eight incredible releases including Born On A Rainy Day 2022.
Formed first in clay to capture the detailed lines of his signature style, the sculpture is then cast in stainless steel which relates to Billy's time as a welder in the shipyards of Glasgow before his rise to fame. Contrast is created between detailed and patterned areas through intricate texture and polishing.
