Marking a milestone year for Paul Corfield as he celebrates his 20th anniversary with Castle Fine Art, Spring 2026 reflects on how far his work has evolved over the past two decades. From lush greenery to turquoise waters, the idealised British landscapes feature his signature white house - its single lit window offering a subtle symbol of refuge and belonging. Working in his distinctive imaginative realism, he captures atmosphere through softened forms and balanced compositions.

Reimagining sea, sky, and shoreline as idyllic spaces, where light beams and water rests in calm stillness, white plays a central role. Comb-like brushes and palette knives introduce delicate texture to waves, trees, and pathways- creating harmonious, tranquil landscapes that invite quiet reflection.

Developed over two months, ‘Evening Tide’ depicts the sea, flowing with gentle rhythm catching and reflecting the light, while pathways and trees are built with layered impasto. Cliffs rise softly through veils of lead white and glazed colour, balancing movement with stillness. As dusk settles, the familiar white house rests quietly within the scene, its illuminated window offering warmth amid the cooling landscape.

From shimmering water to the radiant sun, every highlight and texture guides the eye through a contemporary, serene British landscape.
