Spring Dance That Never Ends
Hand-signed Mixed Media Original Artwork by Scarlett Raven.
One of the most exciting female artists in the UK today, Scarlett Raven’s recognised for the emotional intensity, vivid colours and heavy texture in landscape originals that standout in any collection.
Scarlett Raven’s 2026 English Garden collection is an intimate body of work inspired by the profound meaning a garden can hold in a person’s life, as for the artist a garden is not simply a physical space, but rather a deeply personal and sacred one: a place of healing, grounding, memory, and quiet renewal.
Symbolising places of safety and aliveness, gardens are living expressions of hope, care and continuity, spaces we nurture to nurture ourselves. Drawing upon rich cultural and literary symbolism of the English country garden, the collection was also inspired in part by I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth – reflecting the idea that nature has the power to inspire joy, awaken memories and reconnect us to our true selves.
Rather than offering escapism, Raven’s representation of the natural world brings us fully into the present moment. Rooted in personal memory, as Scarlett draws directly from the landscapes around her home, the collection is an orchestra unfolding through seasons with different flowers emerging at different moments. With their continual cycles of growth and bloom, flowers embody both fragility and resilience and beauty not only in triumph but also in surrender and transformation.
Certain works hold deeply personal resonance for Scarlett. Daffodils, for example, were planted in memory of a beloved family member for whom Wordsworth’s poem held special significance, transforming these flowers into living acts of remembrance.
